International Symposium
"Scientific Computing for the Cognitive Sciences"

Format of the Symposium

The number of participants is limited and talks are given by invited speakers. The symposium aims to bring together around 50 experts and junior researchers who will present, in lectures and discussions, the state-of-the-art in the field, the challenges and recent progress in scientific computing for the cognitive sciences, and their theoretical results and practical methods for solving arising problems. The participants coming from different backgrounds will get the chance to exchange their experiences and ideas.

Participation in the Symposium

Participation is subject to an invitation by the organizers. However, researchers and practitioners (also young scientists) can apply for one of the very few open places. We encourage to send a short abstract to contribute to the prominent poster session to apply for an invitation, although this is not mandatory. Deadline is August 31, notification of acceptance shortly after. Since the number of participants is restricted, unfortunately not all who are interested in participating can be invited.

The registration fee is 150 Euro, the reduced fee for students (including PhD students) is 100 Euro. After confirmation by the organizers, registration is only completed if the fee is payed until September 15, 2010, to the following account:
